Biography
Erin Dvorak Clark is a photographer, educator, wife, and mother of two young daughters based in Duluth, Minnesota. She draws inspiration from her surroundings and expresses the photographic truths around her through landscape images. Her work explores themes of memory, place, and relationships through building bodies of work that rely on the thoughtful large format photography process. Clark received an MFA in Photography from Savannah College of Art and Design in 2023 and a BFA in Photo Media from the University of Kansas in 2014. Her work has been exhibited at venues including the Duluth Art Institute, Colorado Photographic Arts Center, Manifest Gallery, the Museum of Art Fort Collins, the Center for Fine Art Photography, and NOVA24 Photo | Film Festival. In 2023, she presented her MFA thesis exhibition, A River Flowing Upward, in Denver, Colorado. Her thesis work was recognized as a Photolucida Critial Mass Top 200 Finalist in 2023. In addition to her artistic practice, she is passionate about arts education and community engagement. She has taught photography at the collegiate level and currently works as an Art Specialist with Duluth Public Schools, where she helps young people develop creative confidence and visual literacy. Through photography, Clark seeks to create images that examine how identity, belonging, and connection are shaped by both our relationships with one another and the landscapes we inhabit.
